People often ask how I got into tattooing. The simple answer is: I’ve always loved art, especially creating meaningful designs that connect with people. My background in the service industry taught me how much I enjoy caring for others and creating special experiences, whatever form that may take.

I’m half Japanese, half German, and grew up with a very Japanese childhood blended with Australian culture. I have fond memories of watching the same Doraemon, Crayon Shinchan, and Ghibli VHS tapes/DVD’s on repeat, and bringing beautifully crafted bento boxes to school made by my mum. These little details have stayed with me, and continue to shape the way I create.

In my work, I often try to evoke a feeling of nostalgia; even if it's for something my clients haven’t personally experienced. I love the challenge of turning something simple, like a packet of tomatoes, into a design that feels familiar, comforting, or quietly joyful.

Thank you for finding your way to my page and taking the time to read my story. I hope we get to meet soon and create something meaningful together.
